The Javascript Cookie Based Bookmark tools below help to collect bookmarks - with comments - whilst you surf.
My Bookmark Manager Keep bookmarks and comments within a cookie file on your pc. Then use the HTML
function to display a window with the link as well as a text box with html ready for you to copy into your own web pages.
Launch the Bookmark Mini Manager A smaller version of the above that launches in its own
window so that you can keep it around whilst you surf.
Backup the Bookmark Cookie View the Bookmark Cookie, Copy and Paste it into a file for backup

Tools 'Mini' FAQ
Why did you do this?
Whilst updating these pages, a simple tool for collecting bookmarks with comments was needed,
the Bookmark/Favorites functions built into browsers do not allow for a comment or description to be saved with the bookmarks. This is
needed when building a website links page.
After looking at other languages and server side options, it was realised that for collecting a handful of links with descriptions,
a cookie file was all that we needed.
As these functions proved useful, it was decided to make them available on these pages. More functions will be added as they are developed.
What are you doing with our bookmarks?
Nothing, the bookmarks are set and
managed by javascript functions that are included in the headers of these pages. The server is not involved. If you would like to be sure that
the cookies are not being used, copy the source for these pages, save them on your hard drive and open the html from there. The cookies will
still work - even if you are off line!
Did you make the Bookmark Manager?
No, the 'My Bookmark Manager' is a modified Addressbook
script from The JavaScript Source.
I clear my cookies - I thought they were bad.
Cookies are not in themselves a bad thing, they allow a web site to 'remember'
your visit and customise the information you are shown next time you visit. Cookies are only supposed to share the information they contain with
the site that sets them. However, if one site provides (for example) advertising to many pages then the cookies may be used to track your internet
use.
The Tools Cookies are set at this site, only contain the information you put into them, and can be seen in the backup function.
It is possible
to keep these cookies and delete all of the others, it is also possible to backup the Bookmarks Cookie (using the link above) before deleting
your browser cookies.
